Key Personnel

The following represents critical experienced personnel within the Accident Expert™.

Dr. Gary Presswood, ScD, PE

Our founder, Dr. Gary Presswood, received his BS in engineering from Southern Illinois University, his MPA (Master of Public Administration) from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and a Doctorate in Science (ScD, Magna Cum Laude) from California University for Professional Studies (now California Southern University). He was first licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in 1975 and has been so licensed in 7 states.

Dr. Presswood has served as an engineering consultant for private, international, and federal entities including the Depts. of Army, Navy, and Air Force and has been an engineering consultant for NASA. Prior government positions include City Engineer and Deputy Director of Public Works for the City of Las Vegas, Nevada where he was instrumental in the development of Summerlin, a 30,000 acre Howard Hughes Planned Unit Development.

While first involved in forensic projects in the early 70s, Dr. Presswood established his full-time forensic practice in the spring of 1992, ultimately named the Accident Expert™. For the next 30+ years, the Accident Expert™ has evolved into a successful forensic science and engineering firm serving both Plaintiff and Defense Attorneys throughout much of the United States and in Great Britain.

Jared Walker, EIT

Mr. Walker is a 2018 engineering graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno campus, and having successfully completed the initial requirements for licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE), is currently scheduled to take his State Board examination for his PE license. Mr. Walker serves as the firm’s Engineering Analyst and is vastly experienced in many litigation cases and engineering principles including vehicle accident reconstruction where he also possesses a Remote Pilot License and is the company’s video animator.

Shelly Joslin

Ms. Joslin serves as the firm’s Office Manager where she is instrumental in the vast amount of research and acquiring various site, roadway, and construction plans required for cases. She has been an essential member of this firm for many years where prior to her employment with the Accident Expert™, Ms. Joslin was instrumental in the application of the critical gaming license for the Golden Nugget when it changed hands. All of the firm’s cases are initially evaluated by Ms. Joslin where she then obtains critical information prior to the firms’ technical involvement.
